KCO seeks volunteers to provide reliable and energetic administrative support in our first season. Dedicated and talented volunteers will help move the company into continuing seasons of productions while gaining experience and making contacts that will be valuable in their own professional futures. The volunteer positions below may turn into possible salary opportunities as organization and budget grow, and offers free admission to KCO events and performances, along with other perks.

 
Marketing Coordinator

5-20 hours a month, depending on company’s events and production schedule

Seeking volunteer who has knowledge of the Kansas area, publications, and advertising opportunities, and who enjoys:

• the challenge of creating and placing ads with a tight budget

• the opportunity to strategize creative marketing opportunities and to attract new audiences

• the freedom to work independently from home while maintaining frequent contact with the company’s director and volunteer coordinator 
  

Experience with ad layout/design preferred, but not necessary
Arts background or experience with non-profit arts organizations desirable

Development Coordinator

Hours vary

Seeking volunteer with imagination and enthusiasm to produce and implement a successful fundraising plan. She or he will determine the number of hours needed for this aspect of the job, keeping in mind the company’s schedule of events and productions.

Administrative duties will require about 5 hours a month and include monitoring and tracking all financial and in-kind donations and donors and following up with thank-you letters to donors.

Some experience in development, marketing, or public relations required.
Arts background or experience with non-profit arts organizations desirable.
