The Stars are Shining when Kansas Concert Opera presents  a “KCO Christmas." Performed in Emporia’s historic Granada Theater, which has newly re-opened after a multi-million-dollar renovation, a “KCO Christmas” is a musical holiday celebration filled with   traditional Christmas favorites. Direct from New York, Broadway Musical Star Joseph Mahowald heads a stellar cast of KCO singers and instrumental  guest artists. Also featured is an original Christmas story from the host of “A KCO Christmas,” Kansas Public Radio’s Laura Lorson, whose humorous commentaries are heard regularly on National Public Radio. A guest appearance by William Allen White, played by well-known actor  Jack Wright, nationally known for his one man show "The Sage of Emporia", and a tribute to Pearl Harbor, bring  a historical aspect to the show. A holiday treat for the entire family,  a “KCO Christmas” promises to launch a new holiday tradition for music lovers throughout Kansas.
